Why we're drinking this
This is a winter wine because, if you taste carefully enough, you can pick up those lovely sweet spices like clove, cinnamon, and allspice that make you dream of snowy evenings. Grab your wine skin and fill it up with a rich, warming mix of cherry, plum, and blackberry, with a definite nutty and toasty backbeat. The tannins are soft and the finish is smooth. This is good with food—or just a bowl of nuts, a wood stove and a warm puppy on your lap.

Tasting note

This is a juicy wine with a formidable structure. You’ll find aromas and flavours of blackberries, blueberries and dark plum, and savory notes of black tea and black olive. It’s got some weight in the mouth and soft tannins, this is a good thing. The wine will stand up to and enhance foods with big flavours and textures. We say it’s pretty darn good right now.
