Why we're drinking this
This stellar wine has personality in spades and will bring elegance and poise to any dinner setting, especially at holiday feasting time. The Two Sisters 2012 11th Post is a Right Bank Bordeaux-style blend of low-cropped Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Two Sisters is one of Niagara’s newest ultra-premium wineries, consistently achieving placement in every competition it has entered, including Intervin and the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. An emphasis on careful vineyard management pays off in exquisite fruit and wines of considerable power and finesse. From the great 2012 vintage; the kwäf Taste Buds rated this wine an average of 90+ points.
Tasting note
If you love the holidays, this is your wine. Great as a gift or as a table centerpiece. It boasts exquisite balance, elegance and finesse and will be enjoyed well past the year 2020. Says kwäf’s Lindsay Groves: “This is what the holidays would taste like if you bottled them: warm and richly concentrated plummy black fruit, sweet spices (reminiscent of grandma's kitchen), and notes of cedar that will remind you of nights spent in front of the garland-decorated fire place.” Says Dick Snyder: “Velvety texture and a long chocolate finish. A real charmer.”
Drink this: Now through 2020.
Grape: 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon

Pair your 2012 Eleventh Post with this family-favourite recipe for Pasta all’Amatriciana from Chef Justin Lesso at Two Sisters' kitchen76.
Originating in a town close to Rome, Amatrice, the Amatriciana is one of the most popular dishes in Italian cooking. The Guanciale, which is cured pork cheek, is a perfect combination of sweet pork flavour with just enough butteriness. Pecorino is also a traditional addition to the dish; a sheep’s milk cheese that has a perfect combination of nutty yet smooth flavour. All of this balances with smoothness of the 2012 Eleventh Post and the aromas of deep red fruit and sweet barrel spice.
Your recipe will be included in your wine delivery.
