  Why we're drinking this
  While studying at Germany’s Geisenheim University, Kai Schubert dreamed of establishing his own vineyard. After graduation, he and his partner Marion Deimling began looking the world over for the ideal area to grow premium Pinot Noir. When they visited the Wairarapa region of New Zealand’s North Island, they knew they had found their place in the sun. In 1998 Schubert acquired a small, established vineyard in Martinborough and today the couple has 12 hectares under vines, producing internationally acclaimed wines.

  Tasting Note
  Rich, luscious bouquet offering layers of fresh and lively spice. A delicious entrance of sweet ripe fruit with notes of cherries and red currant, layers of aromatic spice with a hint of orange peel leading to a savoury core with subtle tannins. A medium-bodied wine with velvety texture, creating a lasting impression.
