  Why we're drinking this
  This wine does exactly what really good Cabernet Sauvignon can do: It delivers alluring deep, dark fruit, a velvety mouth feel and an intriguing interplay of complex flavours. It’s composed, like a beautiful piece of music. Coming from a tiny parcel of eight acres of vines in Niagara, near Vineland, this Cabernet Sauvignon is made in extremely small quantities. Originally, the winemakers — who are tree farmers and landscapers — intended to make just enough wine for their own consumption. But lucky for us, they planted a few more acres and began to craft beautiful wines from Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Viognier. Watch for more from this outstanding little winery.

  Tasting note
  This is a beautifully made wine. The fruit is ripe, rich and generous, having enjoyed the extended growing season provided by the warm Lincoln Lakeshore climate. It’s rare to find a Cab Sauv with such finesse, let alone one from Ontario where the climate is not always kind to the king of grapes. But here we have deep blue and black fruit with touches of classic Cab Sauv pencil lead and cedar. It’s tasty, savoury and drinking extremely well. Sommelier Zoltan Szabo calls it “fresh and upbeat” and Lindsay Groves notes its “good intensity and nice development.” A seriously good wine that you don’t have to take too seriously if you don’t want to. Just enjoy.
